“HiYa” from the Secret Heart of Heaven.
An excited PR man called Lon and said, “You have to meet this woman!” Constance Blaine was performing with her “Medicine Band” at Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Hospitals in LA, Nashville and Denver.
At her own expense, she sings and “rocks arms” to connect with souls. The lucky ones who have awakened remember Consti and her songs. Unbelievable and true. She has won many awards including the prestigious
National Jefferson Award for Public Service.

“The American Soviet Youth Orchestra World Tour”
The first classical cultural exchange between the countries initiated by President Reagan and Prime Minister Gorbachev. The PBS special “East Meets West in Music” a film about the project was the highest rated classical program on PBS ever. Produced recordings at Bolshoi Hall, Moscow, The Kennedy Center, Washington. D.C., The Lincoln Center, New York with Zubin Mehta, Leonid Nikolayev, Catherine Comet, and Leonard Slatkin conducting.Conceived, directed, developed, produced and funded.
Consti’s Story
I was riding alone one morning in the foothills of Colorado when from somewhere came the crystal clear inspiration that I must go into hospitals with a live band to sing, gently touch and bring a bit of joy toTraumatic Brain Injury patients! This led to media observations, newspaper articles, speaking opportunities for action by insurance companies to respect the quality of life for these silent patients. Eventually, I received the 9 Who Cares Award for Public Service from Denver’s ABC TV, the Golden Rule Public Service Award and the National Jefferson Award for Public Service in Washington D.C. What a ride!
